Pakiwaitara is a unique creative leadership program that guides you through a tikanga framework in order to understand yourself in order to lead better in your life and work.

Leadership means knowing how you interact with your own story in order to activate the collective. You will learn how to apply tikanga frames to your practice and understand the stories that shape you so you can use them consciously and deliberately in your offers.

This program is great for people who are wanting to develop an area of focus in their work or life in relation to leading themselves and others better.

Participants will gain

  • A deeper understanding of how to apply their 'story' into their action

  • The ability to translate Tikanga Frames to their practice

  • A dedicated space to work their own projects and progress them towards high performance.

  • A letting go of 'old' unhelpful stories that don't serve growth

  • Practice in applying key storytelling methods

  • Better Listening and Communication skills

Learning is delivered via

  • Face-to-face and online delivery

  • Weekly onsite tutorials at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa Whirikoka Campus, Turanganui-a-Kiwa (Gisborne)

  • 3 x Noho

Please book in for an information session if you are interested.

We can see if this program fits you, and you, fit it.

"Pakiwaitara took me to a place where I was confident enough to explore my own strengths. It provided an indigenous framework that matched my own tikanga. Tikanga and kawa are links to my culture.

Pakiwaitara is a pathway to strengths that I will use at home, in my sport, at work.

Ngā mihi nui!"

"I am now practicing applying tikanga as a map to guide me in my leadership. Pakiwaitara prompted me to dig deeper and build a stronger connection to myself. I felt more connected to this form of learning than any other Professional Development I have taken."

Ngapaki Moetara (she/her)

Ngapaki is a trained actor, director who fell in love with stories

of people and place from an early age.

In 2014 she and her husband

began a laboratory of exploration that drew on the

frames of the Marae and its indigenous technology.

This exploration supported people across many settings including community and government organsations.

They worked to apply this technology into their work and lives.

Ngapaki has a unique skillset that draws on storytelling methods

to enhance expression, and tikanga (aligned action) to grow clarity of purpose so people can find freedom in their offers while also

connected to their sense of responsibilty.
