This iterration was held by Hāpai productions and Auckland Theatre Company who involved us to lead the direction and manifest the vision for this stage production. Witi's Wāhine celebrates the journeys of real women from Witi Ihimaera's stories and their innate connection to whenua.
Premiered at Te Tairawhiti Arts Festival in 2020 at Lawson Field Theatre, a stunning sequel to 'All Roads' TLOMAH laid out the impacts that followed the Ngatapa seige and marks our vitality and abundance along the way.
Premiered at Te Tairawhiti Arts Festival in 2019 at Lawson Field Theatre, All Roads Lead to Ngatapa was a devised theatre piece that shared the tragic events of the untold siege of Ngatapa in 1869. More than a story of our history, we are invited to think about what it presents for us today. Using our Tikanga Frames as guide in making work & towards conversation afterwards with our audiences.
